The Intensive Home Based Therapeutic Care (IHBTC) is looking for a credentialed professional whose primary responsibility is the supervision of IHBTC clinical staff in the daily performance of their programmatic functions to join their expanding program and positively contribute to the supportive environment. In addition, Clinical Director may carry a small caseload.

What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference...

  • Provide direct intensive community-based and in-home services to a small number of families
  • Interview, orient and supervise staff; participate in all personnel actions such as hiring, exiting, promotions, wage and salary and progressive discipline actions; conduct annual performance evaluations and review job descriptions
  • Conduct intakes, assessments, individual, group and family therapy in accordance with accepted professional standards; documents treatment plans, interventions and clinical strategies using the guidance of assigned clinical supervisors
  • Responsible for ensuring all referrals are responded to within 3 business days
  • Responsible for delivery of IHBTC services in a community-oriented service and responsible for ensuring capacity exists to offer range of services
  • Director is responsible for the clinical oversight and development of treatment plans, implementation of clinical interventions and monitoring of treatment goals

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines or closely related field:

o Counseling Psychology

o Clinical Mental Health Counseling

o Marriage and Family Therapy

o Social Work

  • Independent licensure required, e.g. LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, Psy.D.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervised mental health experience working with youth with behavioral health needs
  • Minimum of 1 year full time equivalent of clinical experience in a supervisory role
  • Must demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of clinical theory and practice; including the knowledge, skills and supports to:

o Identify the needs of abused and neglected children and adults

o Understand child development and individual and family functioning

o Engage difficult to reach, traumatized or disengaged individuals and families

o Work with individuals with co-occurring health, mental health and substance use conditions

o Collaborate with other disciplines and services

  • Must possess strong organizational and clinical communication skills
  • Family training skills preferred with trauma informed focus
  • Must have flexibility in job schedules to meet the families’ need
  • Computer proficiency
  • On-call duties required
  • Valid MA driver’s license with acceptable driving record and current proof of insurance
  • Acceptable CORI and SORI background record check as required by program
