Towson University is hiring for a Clery Coordinator to comply with the Jeanne Clery Act by gathering, maintaining, and reporting statistics from various international and external customers. This role will be critical for supporting the ISSU Supervisor with preparing daily briefings, administrative reports and filing maintenance within the Information Support Services Unit.


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Consolidate relevant data from University departments to identify and report Clery reportable incidents.
  • Coordinates the Clery Program with internal and external customers to gather crime and student referral data.
  • Assist in evaluating and preparing the annual Security & fire Report. Gather and submit Clery statistics to the department of Education as required.
  • Coordinates with university officials to identify and train Campus security authorities. Support the evaluation and development of Clery policies within the agency.
  • Review departmental reporting through E2E and Delta Plus for compliance with departmental directives and compliance with UCR/NIBRS. Compile and disseminate Clery, UCR/NIBRS reporting to the appropriate internal and external customers. Prepare statistical data from crime statistics and other resources for dissemination to the command staff and designated departments.
  • Assist in quality assurance reviews and reporting of the Body worn Camera program. This includes reviewing and preparing audits and BWC recordings for release.
  • Assist in gathering and reporting proofs of compliance for accreditation standards
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing operational and administrative reporting within the Information Support Services Unit. This will include, but not limited to: assisting with expungements, redacting police reports, and clerical duties when needed.

Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of work experience required.
  • Need to successful complete and UCR/MIBRS and Clery Course upon hire.
