Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.

Provide support to internal users of Oracle Applications and legacy applications and ensure maximum efficiency in the use of those applications. Respond to requests for support by users. Test and coordinate testing of new releases of Oracle Applications. Log bugs against applications and follow up with IT and Development. Monitor future applications releases. Train users on features of applications. Maintain applications responsibilities based on work group of user. Act as reporting resource. Represent users at Data Center meetings, user meetings at quarter end and whenever necessary.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2-4 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.

As a Citrix System Engineer II, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle Cerner ’s solutions and services onsite. Perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability and perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization. Your role also includes implementing monitoring for applications and servers, and responding to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation. Also, deploy physical and virtual servers, complete assigned incident management tasks, and deploy, set up, and maintain testing environments. You will also provide tier III support per service request.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education including:
    • At least 1 year of Citrix system administration and/or system engineering work experience
    • At least 5 years additional work experience and/or higher education directly related to the duties of the job including:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a system engineer
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare IT setting

Expectations

  • Must reside in or around the Odessa, Texas area
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of the position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
