POSITION GOALS
  • Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • To support the Business Office billing responsibilities to students, external clients and the College community.
  • To provide support for routine Business Office operations
  • Manage third party billing services


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.
  • Provides coverage for telephone and email inquiries as needed, using professional judgment to respond to a variety of customer service requests, in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Processes payments and other related financial transactions
  • Coordinate refund request for non-credit
  • Utilize sponsorship billing for specialized third party programs
  • Adjust student accounts for college approved discounts
  • Prepare deposits of other accounts receivable and various academic clubs
  • Manage the Book store import and third party voucher process
  • Manage the Bursar piece of the Chargeback process, including reduction to in county rates and billing external counties
  • Assist with student refunds and eRefunds and bank interface in established time frames
  • Assist with the Unclaimed Student Title IV Refunds and State of New Jersey escheatment process and policy
  • Develops and maintains knowledge about College services such as advising, financial aid, WebAdvisor, testing, location of classes and events, etc.
  • Facilitate audits from county WDP, WIA funding sources
  • Process tuition discounts/waivers for College Now, Volunteer programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Services and Manager of Business Services.


Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Three years’ experience with accounting and finance or related field.
  • Three years of customer service experience with evidence of an exceptional customer service orientation and the willingness to go beyond the expected in delivering services
  • Superior interpersonal and judgment skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and detail oriented with problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in an intense environment with a diverse population
  • Computer skills, including aptitude to master basic functions in Colleague, the College’s student information system; experience using office productivity software and Touchnet, the College’s E-commerce software, as well the College Financial system, One Solution
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
