Schedule/Pay:

  • 1st Shift - Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Pay is negotiable based on experience

Summary:

Enhance the productivity and automation of our organization by identifying and working on production

process projects, as well as refining existing processes to gain efficiencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead maintenance of machine systems, controls, and automation systems
  • Support current production needs for troubleshooting and process improvement.
  • Debug Fanuc Robotic code
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
  • Isolates problems for further analyses
  • Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment
  • Performs tests to verify production/process conditions
  • Tends automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation
  • Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
  • Manage projects being implemented, work through details with future growth in mind, partner with leadership, utilize data
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to review, develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Support company projects to ensure consistency in process are implemented
  • Assist in research, design, and development processes to optimize productivity and workflow.
  • Maintain and complete documentation for: instructions, troubleshooting current production opportunities, new programs on products, Maintenance and Operators to perform PMs, working with Production on issues.
  • Attend meetings as requested, and provide frequent feedback to manager on project updates.
  • Provide support for start-up, debugging, and training.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machines and equipment
  • Accurately diagnose and resolve problems involving machine control systems including but not limited to electrical, robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic.
  • Research, communicate, and implement possible solutions.
  • Overseeing and reviewing completion of project.
  • Make recommendations for preventive and process improvements.
Requirements:

Requirements/Competencies

  • Minimum of 2+ years in an Automation Technician role.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot all production machinery and equipment, and continuously evaluate for improvement to safety, quality, and productivity
  • Microsoft Office
  • Solid knowledge of production processes and mechanical understanding.
  • Understanding of lean processes
  • Have the ability to build, maintain relationships and work as a team player

Desirable Skills (not required)

  • Vision system experience, (Fanuc iRVision, Cognex Vision)
  • PLC Programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell Automation, Fanuc, or Automation Direct)
  • 3D CAD experience (Solidworks)
  • 2D CAD experience (AutoCAD or Draftsight)
  • CAD/CAM experience (Mastercam)
