Associate Project Manager, Field Service

Working in the Motion Service in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin you will be Leading the execution of medium-to-large-size projects, ensuring that they are executed in line with procedures, specifications, standards requirements, and targets. In this role, you will be will leading the execution of medium-to-large-size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments within Motion Service Business in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Field Service Operations Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead the project team, establishes the project execution approach and oversees project hand over, execution planning and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals
  • Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects
  • Instructions and guidelines: Active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification
  • Support improving guidelines, tools, and templates
  • Project execution and control: Ensure that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies
  • Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization
  • Monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow
  • Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued
  • Capture, analyze, and share lessons learned throughout the project

Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 2 years of project management experience OR Associate Degree with minimum 4 years of project management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of experience required
  • Travel up to 10% required
  • Computer skills: SAP, Salesforce (field service lightning), MS Office (including MS Projects) or similar highly preferred
  • PMP certification highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Industrial Service business with concentration on Variable Frequency Drives, Motors and Generators highly preferred
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
