We are seeking a(an) Accountant for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:
  • 1. Responsible for assigned receivable and liability account reconciliations. Resolves all reconciling items in these accounts.

    2. Responsible for completing assigned Medicare, Year-End and Internal Audit work papers. Responsible for answering questions related to these items.

    3. Participates in spot checking of the annual inventory in all departments.

    4. Responsible for the month-end closing procedures of the hospital and the COIDS associated with the hospital. Prepares month-end entries associated w/ assigned closing functions.

    5. Calculates month end Medicare and Medicaid Exhibits and reconciling reports.

    6. Reconciles contract labor hours/dollars between PLUS and the GL and makes necessary accrual adjustments at month-end.

    7. Maintains Fixed Asset System and capital schedules, which includes the reconciliation of Fixed Assets.

    8. Responsible for the Annual budget for the COIDs associated with the hospital and assists in the hospital annual budget preparation.

    9. Responsible for daily and bi-weekly PLUS productivity reconciliation and maintenance of the multiplier tables for each department. Provides PLUS training to new Directors/Managers and refresher sessions when requested.

    10. Prepares weekly volume reports and monthly financial statements. This includes net revenue, operating expenses and detail volume reporting.

    11. Utilizes Business Objects and other data sources to extract utilization, reimbursement, and costing information for administrative team and department directors as requested.

    12. Prepare necessary supporting documentation in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures, as assigned, within the required quarterly and monthly timelines.

    13. Performs other accounting duties as requested.
