Xray Tech

PURPOSE:

The Xray Tech coordinates and produces high quality Xray imaging of the radiation oncology patient by utilizing proper equipment, computers, and established techniques in a manner that promotes optimal radiation treatment planning.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Operate independently
• Exude an attitude of customer service to patients and staff within an office.
• Shows empathy and compassion

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate of an approved School for Xray Imaging
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in Xray
• State licensed (mandatory where required)
• Must be in good standing with all CE and license requirements.
• CPR certified

CONFIDENTIAL AND SENSITIVE INFORMATION:

• Must properly control the release of proprietary and confidential information.
• Must adhere to HIPPA guidelines with the handling of confidential patient information.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good organizational skills
• Must maintain confidentiality
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Must ensure positive interactions in dealing with patients and other staff members.
