Why does the job exist?

This position exists to deliver technical assistance, coaching and mentoring to NM Wraparound providers and facilitators across the state and prepare them for meeting credentialing requirements and embedding the practice into their agencies. This position serves as a subject matter expert related to the practice of NM High Fidelity Wraparound. This position will provide training, mentoring, consultation, facilitation and evaluation of wraparound facilitators and teams in provider agencies across the state.

How does it get done?

This position will participate in the planning, development, policies and procedures, implementation, fidelity monitoring and evaluation of CYFD's NM High Fidelity Wraparound program. It will provide training related to implementation of the NM Wraparound model to provider agency staff across the state. This position will provide mentoring, coaching and evaluation of NM Wraparound Facilitators across the state; providing resources, training, and guidance to prepare NM Wraparound Facilitators in the field to meet the credentialing requirements of the NM Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals. This position will participate in on-site (and /or virtually) fidelity reviews of provider agency NM High Fidelity Wraparound services that will culminate in a report of findings and recommendations for improvement.

Who are the customers?

Direct support provided to statewide providers implementing High Fidelity Wraparound and the Wraparound Facilitators employed by providers who serve children and youth eligible for this program.
Support and technical assistance provided to CYFD Protective Services and Juvenile Justice Services staff.

Ideal Candidate

Preferred experience:

  • Experience in providing technical assistance and training to behavioral health providers;
  • Experience and understanding of New Mexico's Wraparound model;
  • Experience facilitating teams is preferred.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology and/or Family Studies/Services and four (4) years of any combination of experience including working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health and/or health care. Employment Requirements

Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

State of New Mexico employees may be impacted by the Public Health Order dated December 19, 2022, which requires facilities licensed or certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ("CMS"), including all hospital types, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice facilities and rehabilitation facilities, as well as assisted living facilities and adult day care settings, to adhere to all COVID-related requirements prescribed by CMS, including, but not limited to masking and staff vaccination.

Wraparound Coordinators engage in both office-based and community-based technical assistance, training, and fidelity monitoring activities. Occasional travel across New Mexico is involved with monitoring and supporting successful NM High Fidelity Wraparound implementation. Ongoing use of computers and telephones is involved in daily responsibilities. Extended periods of sitting is involved in addition to some physical activity (walking, bending, and lifting). Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
