JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Workforce Specialist is to enhance the scheduling performance for the nursing department and to assist with workforce related areas within the facility by:
- Implement and manage the clinical schedule through advanced technologies and create an environment that allows the organization to assess, understand, and react to workforce needs, agency reduction, and achieve successful staffing levels
- Assist with and support the facility recruiting and onboarding programs to help ensure new employees are properly trained and have a positive initial experience as they join the organization.
- Assist with implementing and monitoring the facility training and education system (Relias) to help ensure employees understand and successfully utilize the system to enhance workforce training and meet the needs of the facility.
- Work closely with various departments within the facility, including administration, department heads, and nursing leadership to develop a well-trained and valued workforce.
- Participate in Daily Staffing meetings
- Help create a culture and atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and value for employees.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in health administration, public health, or related field preferred.
- Successful criminal background check
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Long-term care facility/healthcare experience preferred
- Advanced computer skills.
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination OR willingness to receive the Covid-19 vaccination OR company approved medical/religious accommodation
