Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Wireless Systems Engineer. This position allows for telework to candidates who reside in Vermont, Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia area(s).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage access points, wireless controllers, wireless authentication, accounting, and authorization.
Work with Network Architecture and Engineering and Operation teams using ticketing system, to track and monitor wireless requests.
Use monitoring tools, such as Cisco DNAC, to monitor the performance of the wireless infrastructure and take corrective actions before users are impacted.
Work closely with network engineers and architects to assist in design and implementation of new wireless technologies.
Provide 7x24x365 Operations and Maintenance support to the USCIS wireless network environment.
Support to include but not limited to, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and wireless authentication, accounting, and authorization tool such as Cisco ISE.
Use WiFi survey tools to perform predictive and on-site passive/active validation surveys/
Use RF analysis tools to locate/determine causes of interference or other causes of WiFi network degradation.
Responsible for the overall platform management, code version, and patch management.
Use the USCIS ticketing system for work assignment, tracking, and closing.
Identify and resolve any wireless system instabilities.
Work closely with the USCIS Network Engineer and Architect team to assist in the design and implementation of new wireless technologies in the support of the USCIS mission.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience.
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills
Experience with major cloud providers preferred.
Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA, CWNA, or equivalent experience, ITIL v4 preferred
Familiar with tools including: ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira, Confluence
Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps and Agile concepts
Experience supporting Government contracts
Security Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Public Trust and complete DHS Security Clearance
Ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability
Current DHS EOD highly preferred
Physical Requirements:
Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office. Some CONUS travel required.
