Project Response - Weekend Sexual and Domestic Violence Advocate. This is an on-call position with hours starting at noon on Friday until 8 a.m. on Monday. Duties include, but are not limited to,

· Complete crisis line training

· Always maintain strict confidentiality – during and after employment

· Adhere to all Project Response’s guidelines and policies

· Provide advocacy services and support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and sex trafficking.

· Provide survivors with emergency shelter, transportation, as well as any other out-of-office support when necessary.

· Assess immediate crisis needs of survivors and address appropriately.

· Conduct initial survivor intakes; update intakes when necessary.

· Assist survivors in developing safety plans.

· Accurately complete and maintain all paperwork that documents services provided to survivors.

· Maintain positive service partnerships and collaborate with referral agencies, law enforcement, clinics, hospitals, etc.

· Notify Project Response office in advance if unable to cover a scheduled shift

· Update Project Response staff following your shift, of your activities

· Report suspected child abuse or vulnerable adult abuse as required

· Not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during a shift

Must stay within our five-county service area when on-call (Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, and Richardson counties). Fundamentals of Advocacy Training are required and provided by the agency. Pay is $150/weekend plus $12.57/hour when training, entering calls in the database, and/or working with survivors. Mileage is reimbursed.
