Description
Position will manage, maintain, monitor, edit, develop and create content for the College's external and internal web sites, including social media. This position is responsible for ensuring our online presence advances the College's communications and marketing objectives, including accuracy, relevance and ADA compliance.
Example of Duties
- WordPress Multi-Site Administration including theme & plugin editing
- Update and enhance College's web presence by managing verbiage, graphics, videos, illustrations, accordions, visual grids, tables, forms, galleries, landing pages, shortcut URLs
- Create custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript pages for special programs and promotions
- Web server management (LAMP/SSH/SFTP)
- Create Web graphics and videos using Adobe Suite and similar tools
- Google Analytics administration
- Ensure the College's online presence meets federally-mandated accessibility (ADA) and social media archiving requirements
- Third-party software/SaaS administration (social media archiving, school app, chatbot, etc)
- Maintain departmental file-sharing system
- Work with third-party vendors and lead project migrating website to new CMS
- Train and support division/department representatives to update web pages
- Work collaboratively with the Office of Public Information and Marketing to maintain consistent written and visual messaging and design standards
- Integrate the website with social media
- Work collaboratively with College’s IT staff on website issues
- Leverage SEO and digital marketing strategies to promote academic programs and new initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve website performance issues
- Serve on College committees as assigned

- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to concurrently work on multiple projects/initiatives and meet deadlines/quality requirements.
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area; and 3-5 years of related experience.
Requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with HTML/CSS3, XML, PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, MySQL, Linux environment support, WordPress multisite.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and creating Wordpress modules. Demonstrated ability to create custom themes and template files.
- Demonstrated knowledge of debugging tools (Chrome Inspector, Firebug, etc.) and PHP back-end development.
- Demonstrated experience managing a large institutional website or higher education website.
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of art and graphic design principles.
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of videography and photography principles and tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic marketing principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $53,611.00 - $83,484.00 per year
