New Charter Technologies is looking for experienced technicians to add to our top-performing team. The Voice Installation Technician will support the deployment and installation of phone systems at client sites.

Responsibilities Include:

• Work with clients to deploy and manage the efficient implementation of phone systems (Zultys/NEC/Hosted).
• Configure phone equipment per customer needs.
• Lan subnetting, DHCP/DNC/Port forwarding.
• Securely mount equipment and run and terminate cable as needed.
• Neatly install conduit/Panduit.
• Configure VLAN/POE switches, SIP (WL/SS/Reinvent), Paging (Internal/External/SIP Extension), and Wifi (Ubquity).
• Assist with Desktop and mobile applications and remote access.
• Collect customer information and consult on business efficiencies in order to design systems that will resolve customer business issues.

Requirements Include:

• 2-4 years of IT networking experience is required, with an emphasis on digital and IP phone systems.
• 1-3 years of physical installation of phone, computer or IT peripheral equipment required.
• Working knowledge of NCE and Zultys, Hanwa and keyscan systems required.
• Demonstrate concern and empathy for internal/external customers and work with them for solutions to problems.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally in person, on the telephone, electronically and in writing.
• Exceptional customer service orientation.

Headquartered in Sparta, Illinois, we are seeking local candidates with the ability to work at client sites in the local service area (typically 1-2 hours drive time). Standard work hours are typically Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with paid overtime included as needed. In other companies this role may be called a VoIP Technician, Voice System Installer, Voice Network Tech)
