Our Professional Services Business Unit specializes in IT systems integration and managed IT services.

The VP of Professional Services is the strategic leader for our Professional Service Practice, providing end-to-end support for our clients in their system integration and IT Managed service needs. The VP will be accountable for management, growth and maximizing revenue of the company's Professional Service Business ensuring assigned clients receive the highest level of quality service and support. This position is responsible for reframing and directing the operations of the business unit, ensuring implementation and execution of proper processes and procedures for client onboarding, steady-state monitoring, and incident troubleshooting for all the lines of business within the Professional Service practice.

This individual will develop strategic direction for Professional Services, build offerings, develop pricing, and align operations with industry best practice frameworks. The VP will develop and maintain strategic alliances with partners, vendors, and outsourced resources. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of establishing, growing, and transforming cross-functional lines of IT Managed Services within the Federal and SLED verticals.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in its achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual contract forecasts and contract closures and revenue targets. Ensure the planning and execution of sound business development approaches, offering positioning and sales strategies in Federal and SLED verticals.
  • Mentor and lead the development of strong, long-term senior executive relationships and referrals with senior management at targeted Federal agencies and Federal system integrators.
  • Publicly represent Vision Technologies as the face of the Professional Services Business unit at industry meetings, events, and conferences, including public speaking on-stage and on-camera in support of marketing and thought leadership activities.
  • Manage a team to work in close collaboration with Vision Technologies marketing, solutions, presales, and service delivery teams to ensure that proposed solutions, offerings, and services fully align and effectively address customers’ business and technology needs with differentiated capabilities and insight.
  • Support the business development team in providing support to customers throughout the lifecycle of an engagement, and look for new pull-through and growth opportunities for additional services. Support management and delivery functions in Client achievement client satisfaction and integrity of the Client business relationship.
  • Develops new organic business with existing programs/clients through contract modifications, renewals or additional task orders.
  • Work with stakeholders to define clear program objectives, agree on priorities, communicate progress updates, resolve conflicts, and evaluate organizational impact.
  • Identifies, negotiates with and manages subcontractors and vendors by establishing clearly defined master service agreements and/ or service level agreements
  • Work with Human Resources and Recruitment to ensure appropriate staffing to meet program objectives.
Qualifications:
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in Federal, State or SLED providing IT Managed Services.
  • At least five (5) years in a management position with P&L responsibility
  • Ability to engage senior client management in discussions regarding our solutions, the client’s industry and business model
  • Strong customer/client service orientation- demonstrates the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders leading to “trusted advisory” status
  • Sold track record leading and developing support teams in a managed service environment
  • Experienced and conversant in-Service Level Agreements, Contracts related to human capital experience and GSA Schedule.
  • Able to identify Business Development Opportunities.
