Summary:

The VP of Sales with Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation formulates the strategies, identifies the key tactics, ensures execution, and develops the team that drives the growth of our Light Gauge, residential, and commercial business. This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States. This individual will be responsible for maximizing revenues and profitability driven principally by driving sales growth, managing relationships with existing customers, and driving the consistent acquisition of new customers. This position provides leadership and guidance to our 60+ member Sales Team.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Directing and coordinating all company sales functions associated with Light Gauge, residential, and commercial products and market segments.
  • Creating and executing the sales go-to-market strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Driving company growth by providing and exhibiting leadership and direction in support of Metal Sales management strategies.
  • Leading, managing, hiring, mentoring, and motivating a large national sales team of Regional Sales Managers, Territory Sales Representatives and National Account Managers.
  • Ensuring sales employees are equipped with the products, processes, and selling skills training necessary to be successful.
  • Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
  • Developing and managing sales budgets and overseeing the development and management of internal operating budgets.
  • Directly managing major and critical developing client accounts and coordinating the management of national accounts.
  • Determining and monitoring the department’s key performance indicators.
  • Partnering with IT to identify and implement new technologies along with improving existing technologies (i.e. CRM) based on business needs.

Job Requirements:

The most qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business required; MBA preferred
  • 10 years or more in a sales leadership role at least 3 of which with a national sales organization
  • 5 years or more direct and successful sales experience
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success in leading a large building products sales organization
  • Successful track record of sales success and growth, including leading a large building products/materials sales organization
  • Strong leadership, administrative, interpersonal, and organizational skills; coupled with good business and financial acumen
  • Ability and desire to travel 75% of the time
