Our 2 doctor practice is excited to add another Veterinary Technician to our team! We are looking for a technician with a strong passion for treating and helping patients, with previous experience in surgery. Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in applied science, veterinary technology
• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in Florida

Must have at least 5 years of experience or Certified technician.

• Able to perform basic animal handling and restraint
• Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery
• Performing diagnostic tests and X-rays

• Assist veterinarians in outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights as well as providing client education
• Collecting and recording animal case histories

• Placing catheters
• Collecting specimen
• Perform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens for outside labs
• Preparing patients and instruments for surgery

• Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments
• Administering anesthesia and assisting during medical procedures
• Assisting veterinarians during exams and surgery
• Able to accurately position for radiographs
• Any other duties as assigned

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Clients are required to stay in their vehicle while the patient is brought inside for examination. We are providing curbside only at the moment.
