We are currently looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our amazing team at East Ridge. You will be able to work within a beautiful 76-acre, resort style living community. Overview: The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the Residents with their activities of daily living and performs non-medical duties while ensuring the highest degree of safety for the Residents.

Job Duties:

• Assists residents with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed, while utilizing proper equipment such as gait belts, back braces and mechanical lifts.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Checks vital signs.
• Provide catheter and/or colostomy care as assigned.
• Provides skin care, non-diabetic nail care and peri-care.
• Provides application of compression hose, braces or prosthetics.
• Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs and rehabilitation.
• Participates as needed in Interdisciplinary Care Plan Meetings, Risk Management, QAPI and Safety Committee Meetings.
• Maintains safe and sanitary work stations and equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Certified Nurse’s Aide certification in the state of Florida
• Valid CPR Card
• Prior geriatric experience is preferred.

Location: Just south of Miami, East Ridge is on 76 acres inside the city of Cutler Bay. A weekend getaway to the Keys is a sunny drive south on U.S. 1; Miami International Airport is about 30 minutes north.
