Direct Hire

Hybrid onsite 2 days a week in Tampa FL

Pay for SOX Auditor $65,000

Pay for Supervisor $85,000 must have this experience

Benefits:

• Bachelor’s Accounting degree from accredited school
• Short Term Incentive bonus based upon performance of company goals.

• Retirement (Pension) plan is completely company funded and provides retirement income at no cost to you. You do not make any contributions to this plan. You earn a portion of your benefit each year you are employed. You become a participant on the 1st day of the month after completing a year of employment, provided you are age 21 by that date. After 3 years of service or you reach age 65, you are 100% vested in the benefit you have accrued.
• Emera’s Employee Common Share Purchase Plan. You may invest through payroll deduction and/or with a lump-sum payment by check. Emera is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol EMA.
• Basic Life insurance company paid 1.5 times salary

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Each must be =10%)

• Perform business process level walk-throughs and tests of controls. (80%)
• Work with business process owners to provide visibility to the SOX program, conduct periodic trainings, and advise in the identification of controls as processes evolve. (10%)
• Assist in the development and maintenance of annual financial account scoping, SOX standards, process narratives, risk and control documentation, and deficiency tracking. (10%)

Licenses/Certifications

• Preferred: Certifications demonstrating a breadth of knowledge over internal audit, business, or technology are preferred (e.g., CPA).

Related Experience

• Required: Minimum of 2 years of direct or related work experience is required. Related experience consists of: SOX compliance, public accounting, internal audit, or financial analysis/processes.
• Preferred: SAP experience, Audit Board, data analytics

Required:

• Highly detailed oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong project management skills and ability to undertake change management
• Excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency and customer and client relationships including consulting and influencing and strong critical thinking and detailed analytical/problem solving
• Understands compliance and remediation requirements and has a full understanding of SOX implications, controls, etc.
• Understands testing techniques and able to communicate test results/findings to various stakeholders or lead manager
