Job Title: Technology Systems AdministratorLocation: Addison Northwest School DistrictThis is a permanent, full-time, year-round positionJob Description:We are looking for an experienced Technology Systems Administrator to join our team. As a Technology Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and reliability of our technology infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT team to maintain and improve our systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement new technologies.Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the company's technology infrastructure, including servers, workstations, laptops, network devices, and software applications
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and services
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and provide resolution
- Ensure system security and data protection by implementing security measures and backup solutions
- Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery planning
- Manage other IT technicians and direct day-to-day tasks
- Troubleshoot complex issues and implement new solutions
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and provide recommendations for system improvements
- Participate in the planning and implementation of technology projects and education applications
- Develop and manages the district budget for technology by coordinating with the business manager and leveraging Erate and grant funds
- Meet with administrators, teachers, and staff to access and define technology needs, effectiveness, and resources
- Understanding of networking principles and protocols
- Experience with Google environment a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
