The technology Regional Support Specialist's primary responsibility is to provide general onsite technology support for our Macomb, Detroit, Toledo, Ann Arbor, Flint, and Southfield offices.

Time will be spent interacting with staff in their offices, via MS Team, video conferencing, and other means to provide general technology support to these staff and other across the firm. As a Regional Support Specialist, you will be asked to participate in various special projects and server/network support.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:
  • Support activities include; advanced problem diagnosis and error resolution, equipment setup/repair, assistance with network/server troubleshooting/ patching and other projects.
  • Documenting and resolving incidents within the prescribed processes and SLAs.
  • Managing the technology inventory of the offices.
  • Coordinating and delivering technology orientations to new staff members that join the firm.
  • Develop relationships with key staff in your offices to assist them in leveraging new technology to enhance client service/business functionality.
  • Assist the team with answering Help Desk calls throughout the week and three to four times on Saturday between January and April.
  • Be on call three to four time a year.

The qualifications.
  • Client Focus – Must have the desire to listen to our staff members and ascertain the appropriate questions to ask in order to understand the underlying issues that they face and address their true issues. Look to go beyond the basics and provide additional value as you interact with our staff.
  • Communication – Must be able to communicate in a professional, effective manner with staff at all levels.
  • Accountability – Takes personal responsibility for the outcomes of your work; follows through on commitments to others; sees things through to completion. You must be self-directed and able to manage your schedule with minimal oversight.
  • Analytical Thinking – Able to analyze information, identify key issues and relationships, and draw logical conclusions; identifies the root causes of problems and develops appropriate solutions.
  • Achievement / Results Oriented – Understands what results are important and is driven to achieve these results; focuses time, effort, and resources to achieve the “right” results.
  • Flexible and responsive to changing situations; capable of working in a fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Stay current on developments within the IT industry and provide recommendations on ways to optimize speed, reduce cost, etc.
  • Proficient in general technology skills, including:
    • Microsoft Desktop Operating System (Windows 10)
    • Network connectivity
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • General Computer Troubleshooting Skills
    • Server administration/SharePoint skills a plus.
    • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience.
  • 1-3 years of general technology support experience.
  • 2-3 years of client service experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred but not required.

Travel & Hours
.
  • Up to 40% travel between multiple offices (Macomb, Detroit, Toledo, Ann Arbor, Flint, and Southfield based
  • Must be willing to travel, on an as needed basis between offices to meet SLA's.
  • This is an non-exempt position that may require some additional hours: Saturdays during tax season, after-hours on-call support and some Friday night maintenance windows.

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado hourly rate range is as follows:

$26.39 to $39.59

A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
