Job Summary and Qualifications

You will sterilize equipmentin accordance withdepartment, manufacturer, and OSHA standards using different agents, which may include steam, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid, ethylene oxide, and glutaraldehyde.

You will collect and decontaminate reusable equipment and/or supplies and associated storage unitsin accordance withdepartment,manufacturerand OSHA standards.

You will assemble instruments, complex instrument sets, and other surgical items and trays/kits by selecting theappropriate itemsand arranging them in the correct mannerpermittingeffective sterilization using existing standard operating procedures and surgical case count sheets.

You willmaintainaccuratesterilization records.

You willassistwith monitoring equipment operations andmaintainingsupply area and inventory levels.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Two years experience as a sterile processing technician required; experience as a sterile processing lead tech preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

• REQUIRED: Sterile Processing Technician Certification required
