Position Summary:

The Technical Analyst serves as a liaison between business and technology teams to evaluate business requirements against technical capabilities and extract architectural enablement initiatives. This position will investigate, assess, and recommend third-party platforms and solutions that align with and achieve business and technical requirements. This position demonstrates an exceptional ability to translate business requirements into non-functional and technical requirements bridging the gap between the business and technical teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications documenting non-functional specifications, conversions, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows
  • Ensure technical business requirements are defined, addressed, and in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Read, assess and interpret vended and solution architecture and translates into scope of work and technical specification requirements for integration
  • Develop and refine processes for running POC activities for new technologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions in accordance with business requirements and technical standards.
  • Help to maximize the benefit of technology investments using proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to balance technology and business needs
  • Partner with teams to define systems improvement focusing on scale, efficiency, and automation
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas, effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Expert understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, to enforce best practices.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server technology with the ability to read basic data models and generate simple queries.
  • Keen ability to understand business rules and requirements surrounding a software project and translate those requirements into appropriate solutions.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps and how DevOps practices impact software delivery and quality
  • Solid understanding of network, server, and other technologies to effectively communicate with IT infrastructure personnel.
  • General understanding of all facets of designated systems including data interfaces, user interfaces, reporting, modeling, and all other customization points within these systems.
  • Familiar with Software Architecture and the impact architectural decisions have on software delivery
