TITLE: Technical Account Manager

What You Will Do:

• Technical Account Manager (Troy, MI). Build and maintain strong customer relations; Pre-Sales – Develop and present professional informative product reviews and demonstrations; Understand client’s needs, environment and key players and provide a high level of technical support to the user base; Perform formal customer training when needed; Process efficiency – Identify, propose ideas to improve current client processes by developing custom tools; Participate in fulfilling paid engineering contracts when available; Participate in fulfilling free Proof-of-concept projects where required; Understand both strength and weakness of competition; Maintain professional communication with both customer and internally.

What You Will Need:

Basics: Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and 1 year of experience as a Lead Engineer or any related position in automotive engineering. Must have 12 months of experience in constructing CAE models, conducting CAE analysis using NASTRAN and Abaqus, and constructing meshes and building models using HyperMesh and ANSA. Telecommuting is acceptable, work may occur anywhere within 250 miles of Troy, MI. Altair Engineering, 1820 E. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48083. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
