Position:

Supporting Educator/Teacher Assistant

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, bachelor's degree.
• Current or willing to obtain requirements such as CPR/AED Training and Mandated Reporter Training and other staff file requirements related to DCF, DPI, NAC, AMI, and OEO
• Early Education Coursebooks to receive necessary training, if applicable
• Registry Certificate of 7 or higher, or willing to obtain, if applicable
• Possess an attitude that reflects a belief in the philosophy of the IMA organization
• Physically capable to work with children on the floor, stairs, and playground, as well as to lift materials, classroom furniture, and clean
• A strong understanding of Education, child development, and positive classroom management techniques

Position Details:

• Support the Lead Guide in classroom management, lesson preservation, and fostering student independence
• Assist in classroom transitions (indoor/outdoor time, lunch, nap, etc.)
• Participate and document meaningful observations of classroom engagements and student work
• Encourage love, kindness, and peace within the school community
• Preparing the classroom environment (organizing materials, sweeping, mopping, laundry, etc.) at the end of each school day
• Connect with the Lead Guide formally and informally once per week
• Check out with the Heads of School at the end of each shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
