When you join our team…

You will:

• Not be expected to work the hours you are currently working – we believe in quality over quantity – our expectation is that your busy season should extend no more than 12 weeks and we do anything we can to limit overtime hours during these 12 weeks. Outside of busy season we would not anticipate you working any overtime.
• Be part of a collaborative and supportive team that believes in quality of hours over quantity. We utilize pools, level loading and regular scheduling meetings to assure that we are sharing the workload and getting the right people working on the right projects. We do not want to burn out any of our people.
• Continue to grow as a professional - through exposure to peers, informal mentors, clients, self-study, and formal training opportunities.
• Gain varied on-the-job training experience, exposure and knowledge of Tax procedures, work papers and systems through hands on experience, supportive team members.
• Handle client questions, and work directly with CFO’s, CEO’s and owners at our clients to collect information for tax completion. You will do this while working with a collaborative team. You will get to learn about our clients' businesses in addition to doing the taxes.

What will you need to succeed in this role?

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or EA certification (or progress towards certification) - preferred
• 1+ years of current public accounting experience
• Exceptional communication skills
• Skilled at building client rapport and working relationships
• Proficiency with computerized tax software and MS Office

What will you do in this role?

• Prepare and review all types of U.S. Income Tax Returns
• Consult with clients and individual clients on financial and tax planning matters
• Provide strategic and tactical accounting advice and recommendations to clients.
• Be willing and able to service multiple client engagements at the same time.
