Responsibilities:
Arcfield is looking for a Systems Engineer II. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a team responsible for deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and integrating range instrumentation systems to support our Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Army and Navy customers and meet mission objectives. Specific duties will include:

  • Understand and remain current on industry systems, technologies and trends including virtual and cloud computing technologies and trends
  • Monitor incident management system for production issues and enter all relevant data as incidents are completed
  • Develop and regularly review team strategy and documentation of systems, policies and supported applications
  • Maintain the inventory data, capacity and reporting of our managed systems and assets for compliance and business needs
  • Knowledge of enterprise device management solutions
  • Participate in planning and implementing strategic technology initiatives including but not limited to upgrading, patching, security, consolidation
  • Contribute to the direction, engineering and support for VDI solutions
  • Manage project and tasks for self, provide transparency on activities conducted and have a bigger picture focus on entire team's mission
  • Manage vendor relationships and software licenses and asset lifecycles for managed systems
  • Participate in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of virtual desktop solutions, applications and operating systems
  • Strong focus on improving employee productivity and simplifying work lives
Qualifications:
Required
  • Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering requirements for software systems and interfaces
  • Experience with transition readiness events and artifacts prior to operational deliveries
  • Experience with Discrepancy Reports (DRs) metrics and closure
  • Understanding of programmatic processes, including Configuration Management, Risk, Readiness, and Schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to work and quickly transition across multiple tasks
  • Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products
  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government
  • Must have a Current/Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain
