Linux/HPE Systems Admin/ Engineer

Location: Remote (Night shift - Shift hours 11:30 EST-7:30A EST)

Duration: 12-24+ months

Visa: Any Visa

Interview: Teams interview

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, Network Connectivity, automation for Operational task and assisting in removing/ adding nodes into the OpenShift cluster.

Must haves:

5+ years of Linux administration

3+ years of HPE DL360 server administration

Very basic networking skills needed, like troubleshoot BGP Cisco Network troubleshooting

Ideally have experience in load- balancer administration

2+ years of Kubernetes/OpenShift. (CKA or OCP certifications highly desirable)

2+ years of Ansible/Python/Bash automation

Responsibilities

Assisting in removing and adding nodes into the OpenShift cluster as well as assisting the applications at night on failed upgrades, if needed.

Critical in supporting infrastructure software and firmware upgrades.

Work with field engineers remotely to validate health on HPE DL360 servers.

HPE servers and network interface troubleshooting .

Experience troubleshooting complex network issues such as BGP connectivity

Automation experience - perform simple tasks that require a lot of operational overhead and convert them into some form of automation, whether that be in the form of an Ansible playbook or python/bash script.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $23.43 - $45.00 per hour
