About the Supply Chain Optimization Team

The Supply Chain Optimization team is responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining an efficient inbound supply chain. Part of the broader Inventory Management team, the SCO team works closely with Planning, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Vendor partners.

Overview of the Supply Chain Supervisor role

As a Supervisor, you will manage a team of 3-4 Coordinators and serve as their main point person. You will hire, onboard and train new coordinators. You’ll work with them on any escalated issues, and step in to assist with workflow when necessary. You’ll be responsible for running weekly reporting to support the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team responsible for the creation, maintenance, negotiation, and tracking of purchase orders
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and serve as first point of contact, working with manager on escalations as needed.
  • Support development & growth of Supply Chain Coordinators, including onboarding new associates and developing training plans.
  • Manage team workload and delegate tasks to other team members as needed.
  • Perform analysis on SCO trends, opportunities and KPIs to identify opportunities for process improvement/automation, training, or necessary escalations
  • Oversee strategy for delivery date and order accuracy, specifically focused on supply accuracy, customer facing order dates, inbound prioritization, receipt forecasting, and other supply chain activities
  • Implement processes to improve order efficiency and accuracy, ensuring SOP’s and training materials are in place
  • Drive improvements in purchase order placement, negotiation, and vendor acceptance, including reductions in manual order placement, reduction of and streamlining of revisions, and reduced negotiation timing
  • Partner with Inventory Management, Distribution Center Operations, and Logistics teams to investigate problems and develop solutions to maintain an efficient supply chain
  • Operate a computer and communicate via telephone
  • Transport materials and equipment and lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis

  • 2+ years of experience in planning, allocation, sourcing, or operations
  • Experience managing a team of 5+ direct reports
  • Strong analytical thinking skills
  • Understanding of retail supply chain
  • Time management and communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Suite
  • College degree preferre
  • Ability to perform work onsite in the (San Francisco, Rocklin, Portland, New York, San Jose) office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
