Overview:
Schedule: Third shift (Overnight): Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10pm-7am

Oversees the day-to-day activities of Fleet drivers, monitoring service demands and field operations; trains drivers on all technical and procedural aspects of fleet, focusing on world class performance of Fleet staff; reinforces Five Diamond Service; ensures field operations and vehicle maintenance conform to Road Service policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily activity of Fleet drivers, monitoring activity to ensure delivery of world class service while adhering to safety procedures; interviews, makes hiring recommendations, identifies training needs and evaluates the performance of subordinate staff, ensuring adherence to department and Club policies and procedures; emphasizes Five Diamond Service and member satisfaction; reviews scheduling to ensure adequate staff coverage and obtains approval for overtime hours as necessary to meet service demand.

Delivers new-hire and refresher on-the-job and classroom training, emphasizing policies, procedures and operational/personal safety; equips employees with knowledge of AAA products and services; emphasizes the importance of building relationships with each member contact; accompanies drivers on service calls, to assess service delivery; performs periodic training for AAA contract garages, reinforcing Club values, policies and procedures.

Resolves service delivery or member problems, utilizing experience to resolve unusual service problems; ensures member satisfaction, driver safety and protection of property; identifies any repetitive problems and alerts management; acts as resource on questions of Club policies and procedures.

Performs daily inspections of drivers and vehicles; ensures uniforms and trucks conform to Club policies (i.e., cleanliness, maintenance, safety device and equipment, etc); review driver logs for completion, alerting management of maintenance issues.
Inspects fleet accident sites, representing Club as necessary; assists drivers with completion of accident forms; completes damage reports and provides additional information as necessary.

Investigates driver injury incidents and ensure documentation/injury reports are completed; provides suggestions for proactive prevention of incidents and follows up with drivers to ensure proper care is taken to prevent injuries; informs Safety Manager, to ensure worker's compensation issues are appropriately addressed; may provide additional information for formal inquiries.

Performs periodic inventory checks, ensuring adequate warehouse and on-truck supplies of needed equipment; informs management of reorder status.

Responds to road service calls to provide mechanical assistance to members or fleet drivers as necessary.

Opens/closes the Fleet Operations Center as scheduled, ensuring vehicles and building are properly secured.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Associates degree required or 3-4 Years of Additional Relevant Work Experience

Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction required

Able to obtain and maintain a minimum of one-year DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee required

A minimum of three years' on-the-job tow experience required

Supervisory experience preferred

Ability to safely operate Electrical and Mechanical equipment/tools (including but not limited to): multi-meter, air tank, jumper cables, lock-out tools, floor jack, air compressor, MDC computer, tire inflator, wheel lock, funnel, gas can, air impact gun, tire mallet, hand tools, lug wrenches and two-way radio.
