Job Title: CCBHC Substance Abuse Clinician (Licensed &/or Certified)

Program: Rockdale Outpatient Center – CCBHC grant

Salary Range: $50,000 – $53,000 (F/T)

Shift: First Shift – Full-Time

Job Hours: 8:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday with some extended hours

  • Work after hours and on weekends when needed
  • Be available to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day when on-call

The base location for this position is: Rockdale Outpatient Center – CCBHC grant

A new service model, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC), offer comprehensive, coordinated and integrated care to individuals living with mental health and substance abuse treatment needs. CCBHCs provide outreach, increase access, improve services, and serve as a "one-stop-shop" to those who are currently underserved with mental health and substance use disorders.

Job Description:

The CCBHC Substance Abuse Clinician (Licensed or Certified)provides professional therapeutic services using identified Evidenced Based Practices to persons with mental illness, behavior challenges, and/or substance use disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete diagnostic formulations and appropriate assessments on clients with mental illness and substance use disorders
  • Collaboratively formulate a treatment plan addressing issues identified in assessment
  • Provide short-term individual and group therapy using evidence-based practice therapies for clients with SPMI &/or SUD, following ASAM levels of care
  • Assist clients in identifying, developing, and sustaining appropriate natural support systems
  • Provide crisis intervention services to existing and walk-in clients as needed.
  • Provide psychoeducation around mental health, substance use, trauma, recovery
  • Collaborate with other behavioral health and physical health providers to holistically address client needs
  • Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs)
  • Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative information
  • Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional development
  • Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisor
  • Provide on-call, after-hours services on a rotational schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed in Georgia as LPC, LCSW or LAPC, LMSW -OR- Certified as CADC, CAC, MAC
  • Master’s Degree in a related field
  • Previous clinical experience working in Community Mental Health Care with SPMI, SUD &/or Co-Occurring Disorders
  • Experience providing ASAM groups or substance use related therapies such as Dual Diagnosis, DBT, Seeking Safety

Program Specific Duties:

  • Offer flexible hours, to include some evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Participate in on-call afterhours rotation
  • Participate in meetings
  • Perform other duties when appropriate and needed

Job Requirements/Competencies:

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds
  • Requires long periods of sitting/standing
  • Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy
  • Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens
  • Demonstrates sensitivity and expertise in diverse cultural and linguistic needs.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the agency mission, vision, and values.
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CareLogic electronic health record system.
  • Ability to practice flexible range of skills in a fast-paced environment to support complex behavioral health needs
  • Knowledge of community resources within Rockdale County.
  • Bilingual, Spanish

Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of related post-license experience OR Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent.
