Job description
KC Engineering is currently accepting resumes for entry-level Structural Design Engineers at our Ankeny, IA location.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with client and other design professionals.
Design steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural elements and systems for a variety of projects.
Compile neat and organized calculations and computer-generated output for internal review and submittal to client at completion of project design.
Perform job site visits for measurements and structural observation.
Review building component submittals and shop drawings for conformance with contract documents.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil Engineering (w/ emphasis in structural) or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Those possessing Master’s degree will be given special consideration.
Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
Must have a good work ethic and willingness to learn.
