Fit Strength Performance is Rochester's premier sports performance facility that caters to athletes of all ages and abilities. We provide customized programming that enhances our athletes performance and reducing the likelihood of an injury. While improving their performance, one of our main priorities is to instill the value of training in order to develop healthy habits which improve their quality of life.

Fit Strength Performance was established in 2016 in a 600 square foot studio and now has grown to a 1400 square foot facility. We specialize in a semi-[private model so 5 athletes at to one coach in a session. Sessions range from 60-75 minutes long depending on the athlete (s) in the session.

All coaches at FSP must have a strong background in exercise selection, program design, and human anatomy. In addition this person must be organized, professional, able be independent, and strong communication skills.

Physical Preparation Coach
Duties and Responsibilities

❏ Plan, direct, and conduct off-season, pre-season, and in-season strength and conditioning training programs.
❏ Design performance programs for individual athletes and for specific team needs, and teach proper skills, skill development, and safety considerations for strength and conditioning.

❏ Analyze individual and team performance needs for sport-specific training and performance.

❏ Ensure athlete safety and well-being in all training sessions, conditioning activities, practice activities related to the strength and conditioning program.

❏ As appropriate, support everyone who is working with the athlete in counseling and advising athletes about plans for setting goals, academic success, appropriate social conduct, and other life skills topics, as well as other personal and sport-related issues.

❏ Attend and participate in appropriate national or regional professional development and continuing education clinics and/or conventions to improve and increase overall knowledge of athletic training and strength and conditioning techniques and practices.

❏ Attend all scheduled staff meetings, unless excused by immediate supervisor.

❏ Complete various assigned reports and submit them to the immediate supervisor in a timely manner.

❏ Meet quarterly with the immediate supervisor and/or the Director to review individual performance and evaluate training programs for athletes

❏ Establish personal and professional goals and objectives for the following year.

❏ Sell Fit-Strength Performance services to Rochester, NY area

❏ Attend athletes games to show support and to build a community amongst FSP staff and clients

❏ Arrive 15 minutes before all sessions

❏ Clean and sanitize training stations

❏ Ensure all cleaning supplies are refilled and able to be used for the next session

❏ Empty trash, vacuum, and mop facility after usage

❏ Open and close the facility

❏ Must be able to lift 95+ pounds (DB’s, KB’s, Bars, etc.)

❏ Must be able to stand and move around the facility for 2-3 hours at a time

Skills:
❏ Ability to convey a clear and concise message while communicating, both verbally and in writing,
❏ Able to work with coaches, sports medicine professionals, parents, and the media
❏ Confidence to speak to individuals and large groups
❏ Attention to detail
❏ Self-motivated, passionate, and dedicated
❏ Adhering to high moral principles and/or professional standards
❏ Able lead but also follow
❏ Social branding skills (IG, Facebook, YouTube)
❏ Google platforms (Docs, Excel, Slides)
❏ Zoom
❏ Personable, Influential, Engaging
❏ Understanding of program design, linear periodization, concurrent training, tier system, conjugate method, block method

Experience:
❏ 1-3 years of experience working with athletes and adults in a small group setting
❏ Athletic background (played high school and/or college sports)

Education:
❏ 4-Year Degree
❏ CSCS preferred
❏ Nationally accredited personal training certification (ACE PT, NASM-CPT, ISSA, NSCA, NESTA, NCCPT, NCSF, AFAA,)

Compensation:
❏ Hourly wage
❏ Monthly Stipend (after probationary period)

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
