We are a growing dental services organization looking to add a Staff Accountant to our support team. This position is available immediately and based in the Sacramento area.

General Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant working experience either in public accounting or in private industry preferably with “service type” business with multiple locations.
• Relevant experience includes accounting and analysis, journal entries, running financial reports, and maintenance of the general ledger.
• Must have either an accounting or finance degree from a respected undergraduate college.
• Prior dental industry experience a plus but nor required.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task are essential.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel. QuickBooks experience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform timely and accurate month end close process.
• Maintain balance sheet accounts, including reconciliations of fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, liabilities, and notes receivable and payable.
• Perform other various reconciliations, including bank accounts, vendor reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Record monthly accruals.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Obtain credit card activity from managers and ensure purchases are approved, coded, and recorded properly.
• Prepare year end and tax supporting schedules.
• Help with accounts payable when needed.
• Prepare various ad-hoc financial reports, and perform other accounting related duties as assigned.
