CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS


  • Support division’s efforts in identifying and forecasting customer demand across all the global regions for Coil and Packaging PCG business units. While each region is responsible for their demand plan, this position will be responsible for rolling up data at BU level for leadership
    • Weekly/Monthly/Annual/Long Range (3-10 year) Finished good / Intermediate forecast review to identify and track changes
    • Development and continuous improvement of inputs, process and outputs of Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) process/ Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes across Business Units
    • Understanding of Product development phase gate milestones and deliverables
    • Understand change drivers and communicate to procurement team.
    • Develop and execute strategy to address demand/supply gaps across global regions
  • Works outside of standard business hours relative to job demand needs to support Global alignment and process development

  • Develop, grow and maintain relationships with NA and International Supply Chain teams, Sourcing and other GSC functional teams in identifying best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives to address gaps in Demand and Supply around the world across Coil and Packaging Businesses.

  • Maintaining and enhancing current finished goods planning and execution system tools and the quality of the data in those systems. Further, this position is responsible for supporting continuously improving the usage and functionality of future systems.
  • Identify and support process improvements to better communicate global forecast demand and data gathering for capacity analysis.
    • Assist in gathering global details for capacity analysis
    • Assist in gathering global details for raw material demand
  • Support, Develop and implement management tools and reports to increase understanding, timeliness and quality of operational plans and decisions.

  • Develop detailed analyses and processes and metrics to identify, communicate and quantify complex issues across both Coil and Packaging.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS


  • FORMAL EDUCATION:
    • Required:
      • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ experience
    • Preferred:
      • Bachelor’s degree in a Supply Chain related field

  • KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
    • Required:
      • 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Sales, or Operations
    • Preferred:
      • APICS CPIM Certification
      • Blue Yonder Solutions, Business Objects-DSF & SCIS, MES, QAD, REACH, AOM, IVAN PIM, Salesforce, Oracle, Valplan, WalMart Retail Link, Lowes Dart and various other customer portals.

  • TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Required:
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects, concurrently.
  • Must have strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Preferred:
  • Procurement, Technical or Manufacturing experience within the coatings industry is preferred.
  • Solid understanding and/or hands on experience in the following areas: Sales &Ops planning, forecasting, production inventory planning and scheduling or VMI.
  • Participates on the implementation of system upgrades and future enhancements, as well as rollouts of business applications to other operating units or countries within the company.
  • Systems Knowledge: Enterprise Supply Planner, Demand, Business Objects, QAD, AOM, Business Objects, MS Office,
  • Analytical skills, systems aptitude, good communication. Must be able to prioritize, be proactive, customer focus.
  • Strong decision-making skills and Leadership skills.
