Sr. Financial Analyst - Hybrid

National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC) is one of the largest private equity owned pain management practices in the United States. We currently are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to provide forecasting and support for identified regions within the NSPC footprint. This position would be based out of Frederick, MD. Hybrid 1-2 days in office.

Working under the guidance of the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing and communicating actual performance variances to plans, and understanding key financial drivers affecting results.
  • Working closely with leadership and other finance and planning staff to support monthly operating reviews and to develop forward-looking plans.
  • Supporting the strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting process by performing various financial analyses, target/goal settings, and trend and industry examinations.
  • Analyzing and preparing reports and financial statements on a monthly and year to date basis to summarize operating results, identify abnormal conditions, and develop recommendations for financial improvements.
  • Collaborating with leadership and management to forecast staffing needs.
  • Maintaining differences between lender and management reporting adjustments and ensuring that all lender adjustments are in accordance with debt agreements.
  • Supporting monthly and year end close activities.
  • Becoming an expert user of the company’s CPM suite, Prophix.
  • Adhering to and upholding all applicable federal and state compliance regulations, as well as NSPC’s Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook, compliance policies and procedures, and applicable healthcare fraud, waste and abuse laws.
  • Performing all other duties, as assigned.

We require the following:

  • A minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance or an equivalent major (MBA preferred).
  • Five to seven years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables) and PowerPoint is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is preferred.
  • Understanding of US GAAP accounting.
  • Ability to develop forecasts using historical actual results and underlying relevant business drivers (FTEs, Units, reimbursement rates, etc.).
  • Highly motivated and customer focused to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong process abilities to manage and improve complex processes.
  • Capacity to write and analyze reports and correspondence in an accurate, timely, and legible manner.
  • Capability to communicate effectively and professionally with a diverse population.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information at all times.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • A satisfactory background check inclusive of driving records, criminal records, employment references, education, social security and OIG exclusions.
