Position Description
Conducts engineering services as necessary to provide timely information on the performance and condition of the major components involved in the generation process. Comments on proposed component and operational changes. Also provides support for a generation plant data acquisition system.
Essential Job Tasks:
Participates in the preparation of test schedules, and supervises tests conducted on generation equipment.
Participates in the analysis of data obtained during the tests mentioned above and prepares reports detailing those test results.
Prepares and runs computer models that simulate the equipment used at the generation stations.
Uses these simulations to evaluate the effects of potential equipment changes on the overall efficiency of the units.
Participates in the daily performance monitoring of the equipment included in the On Line System (OLS) and uses that information to develop reports showing the recent performance of the equipment.
Sees that changes in performance are highlighted to management.
Confirms that the computer hardware and software used by the OLS is operating as expected, that problems affecting the performance of the system are properly analyzed, and when necessary repairs are promptly conducted.
Evaluates and recommends potential software and hardware changes/additions to the OLS.
Develops customized applications to fulfill the needs.
Responds to requests for operational data from various groups within the company and when necessary combines the information with engineering analysis so as to clearly explain the meaning of the data.
Position Requirements
Will consider Sr. Engineer, Engineer III, Engineer II or Engineer I
Sr. Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college or university and eight years experience.
Professional Engineering registration required.
Experience with spreadsheet and database software programs preferred.
Experience in project engineering or integration engineering preferred.
Training in Microsoft Office products desired.
Computer programming skills and familiarity with the .NET products preferred.
Compensation Information
$93,960 - $117,450 (min.-mid.)
Engineer III
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college or university and five years experience.
Fundamentals of Engineering registration required.
Must possess supervisory and administrative skills with proficient oral and written and communication skills.
Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at elevations above and below grade and accommodate overtime.
Compensation Information
$84,280 - $105,350 (min.-mid.)
Engineer II
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college or university with two years experience.
Fundamentals of Engineering registration preferred.
Must possess supervisory and administrative skills with proficient oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at elevations above and below grade and accommodate overtime.

$75,600 - $94,490 (min.-mid.)
Engineer I
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college or university.
