DEPCOM Power is looking for a Sr. CAD Designer to join our team in Bedminster, NJ. This individual will partner with engineering to draft and design full utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. They would also coordinate with the CAD Manager to help develop and implement department processes and training procedures. This exciting opportunity is for a skilled individual who has experience designing on large-scale projects from beginning to end.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Develop electrical packages for field installation, including single-line diagrams, routing plans, and elevation details for equipment
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure that all technical design requirements are represented in the drawing package
• Manage day-to-day workflow to ensure balance between multiple projects in development at the same time
• Gather and implement feedback with the CAD Manager to update process flow for the CAD department
• Review and oversee training of both CAD-related and utility design as needed for the CAD department
• Review work from other designers to ensure standard design is implemented correctly across entire department

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• AutoCAD drafting experience
• Experience implementing utility drafting standards
• Experience using AutoCAD sheet-set manager, blocks and x-references

• Civil3D Experience
• Utility-grade design experience
• Utility Scale solar or electrical design experience
• Previous experience modeling and drafting
• Previous experience using Adobe Acrobat or BlueBeam Revu
• Knowledge of LISP, .NET, Python or Dynamo programming
