Currently seeking a Special Education School Age Art Teacher for our Brooklyn locations in:

AHRC Middle/High School, Dyker Heights

Brooklyn Blue Feather ELC, Sheepshead Bay

Position Requirements:

• BA or MA and New York State Certification in Special Education/Art Education required; experience in autism preferred. Salaries based off of education attainments.

Role Description:

• Full Time | Monday-Friday
• Hours: 8:30 A.M-3:30 P.M OR 8:00 A.M-3:00 P.M
• Responsibilities include:
• Implement an Art Curriculum that incorporates current theory, research, and practice and meets the needs and abilities of school age students with autism and other disabilities.
• Prepare daily lesson plans with activities that are aligned to NYS Common Core Standards, informed by authentic assessment data which advance academic goals and, as applicable, reflect the objectives on the IEP; and progress reports as needed.
