RVT credential and 1+ years' experienced required.

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains technical proficiency and expertise in all Ultrasound and Non-Invasive vascular procedures. Works independently in performing all ultrasound and Non-invasive vascular procedures on patients ranging in age from neonate to late adulthood. Communicates effectively with radiologist and referring physicians about patient studies. Prioritizes, provides and promotes quality patient care to support the Mission, Vision and Values of Sky Ridge Medical Center. Sonographer is responsible for producing high quality diagnostic sonograms for interpretation by the radiologist in various clinical settings including ED, Peds ED, outpatient and inpatient environments. Maintains and supports facility technical and documentation expectations that are consistent with JCAHO and ACR regulations and SRMC standards. Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patient, medical staff and employees. Consistently follows AIDET directive. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills daily to assure accountability for personal and team contributions. Responsible for contribution to cover all shifts and availability as needed, which will include rotation of vacation coverage for weekend and night shift and emergency call coverage as needed. Responsible for holiday coverage on a rotational basis.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
: Current ARDMS certification with both Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification Attends continuing education activities to maintain and enhance knowledge and skill level.

Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of an ARDMS approved Ultrasound program or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: 1-year recent hospital Ultrasound experience. Vascular experience preferred.
