As a Social Media Strategist you will:

  • Guide the use of social media for Chevron in corporate communications campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Consult with key internal business partners, subject matter experts (SMEs) and executives and their staff on social media strategies and opportunities best suited for their stakeholder engagement needs.
  • Work in all aspects of social media; channels, audiences, best practices, content development, community management, publishing, reporting/metrics.
  • Utilize social media management and reporting tools; Sprinklr, Opal, Domo, Tableau, Spredfast, Brandwatch, Sysomos, Crimson-Hexagon, native platform insights.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks and deliverables while working in a fast-paced environment, with strong project management skills and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Stay up to date with emerging social media channels and technology and identify and understand what's fit for purpose for the business. You naturally invest time online and stay up-do-date on what’s new, innovative and useful.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of channels, audiences, community management, best practices, employee activation and advocacy on social media
  • Understanding of the strategic intent of building branded social media communities, the value of social media to the business and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, curate and coordinate engaging social content.
  • Ability to write and communicate clearly and free of jargon and explain complex topics and issues in a simple, snackable format; strong verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced with social media analytics, reporting and performance and communicating insights that can optimize content.
  • Ability to manage multiple agency partners and give clear direction that results in an excellent product.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and keeping key stakeholders updated.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agency experience
  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools including but not limited to Domo, Google Analytics data and UTM coding/tracking.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $ $121,100 $ 241,800 .
