Responsibilities

The Social Media Specialist develops and implements internet marketing strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of all social media strategy on behalf of the New Jersey Lottery.
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement and communications
  • Provide input and support in designing brand enhancing campaigns and programs to achieve specific business objectives and brand affinity goals
  • Manage multiple monthly sweepstakes and contests including scheduling, player entry tracking, winner selection and prize fulfillment
  • Create social outputs with internal content resources, product team, field promotions, advertising,interactive and sales teams
  • Manage paid media strategy and support with the Lottery’s current Media buying agency.
  • Define and own reporting metrics and KPIs for the Lottery’s social channels; preparing weekly and monthly reports for senior staff members and New Jersey Lottery client.
  • Responsible for review and management of creative agency’s social media campaign assets.
  • Responsible for social listening and communicating player chatter and trends to the wider teams as applicable
  • Monitor activity across all channels and address issues as needed during-and occasionally outside of traditional business hours. This includes (but is not limited to) issues with Livestream drawing on Facebook, high rolling Jackpots and large wins by New Jersey players
  • Analyze social stats using data management platforms to inform strategy behind paid social material and content direction
  • Work with all internal stakeholders to develop, maintain, and communicate social media calendar
  • Operate within New Jersey Lottery guidelines including, but not limited to New Jersey Lottery’s Marketing Code of Conduct, and Responsible Gaming guidelines while executing social programs, promotions andgiveaways
  • Provide social support for New Jersey Lottery’s field Promotions team as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent years of successful work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital or social media required
  • Experience with Social Media management platforms (Sprout, Hootsuite etc)
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Photoshop required
