WHIP is a local start-up looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an intern to support our growing business needs during the summer of 2023. This is a creative content production role for someone who can leverage their social media skills to bring value to an emerging platform. You will be working closely with our founders and executive team to develop content and strategies for social media platforms to promote and manage WHIP’s burgeoning brand image.

WHIP is dedicated to developing successful leaders, and the right candidate will have the opportunity to bolster their resume and demonstrate their skills by creating, tracking and completing a brand development campaign.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and grow social media presence/profiles
• Moderate comments and respond to DMs across social media profiles
• Utilize social media profiles to campaign events
• Maintain, post and, update social media profiles such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram with appropriate and appealing content
• Assist in loading/producing stories/creating social media graphics
• Help develop strategies for capturing target audience and current customer engagement
• Support team in-person at car shows and motorsports events (Minimal weekend travel)
• Help create and edit short form videos
• Assist with photo/ video content shoots
• Track social media engagement and analytics to identify high-performing ideas for scalability
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education:

• Advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms from a brand perspective
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized
• Ability to project prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to receive and respond to feedback
• Knowledge of/ passion for cars is a plus
• Degree in/ active pursuit of/ experience in marketing/ business is preferred
• Part Time (less than 20 hours per week) June 2023 - August 2023

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $15.00 - $22.27 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• San Diego, CA 92123: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Photo editing: 1 year (Preferred)
