Touching Miami with Love (TML), a nonprofit Christian-based organization is seeking an experienced individual with 2-5 years of experience working in a leadership position with children and youth.

This position provides general oversight of the day-to-day operations of the children and youth programs.

Children and Youth Program Responsibilities:

  • Direct all aspects of out of school and youth programs including curriculum development, and field trips
  • Supervise and lead all staff, volunteers, and interns associated with the programs
  • Supervise and/or lead spiritual components of the program.
  • Develop relationships with families of children/youth who attend TML’s West Homestead Site program.
  • Recruit volunteers to work in the children’s ministry, hold volunteer training and appreciation events
  • Nurture and expand ministry collaborations with local universities, churches, and agencies that supply volunteers, leadership, and facilities for the children’s ministry
  • Ensure all program and grant outcomes are being met and provide data and narrative reports to meet grand and organizational requirements
  • Ensure all requirements for accreditation/licensure are met including monitoring program fidelity
  • Recruit and assist with hiring.
  • Oversee training, professional development, orientation, and staff evaluations
  • Lead effective, efficient, and impactful staff meetings
  • Assist with implementing strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas
  • Cultivate existing and new relationships with partners with the goal of ensuring sufficient space, resources, and program opportunities for our children and youth.
  • Responsible for assuring financial expenditures are within budget guidelines and amounts

General Program Responsibilities: Provide supervision for the maintenance and cleaning of the building and vehicles

  • Ensure computers and technology equipment are operational
  • Be a contact person for community advocacy and coordinate with CEO on potential community partners

Qualifications: Pre-employment drug screening required

  • Pass background check
  • Prefer bilingual
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Required 2-5 years’ experience management supervising multiple employees within the education or nonprofit field.
