Some 40 years ago, Leroy “Bus” Earl Fuller and his son Stanley Earl Fuller had a simple idea: to create a laid-back burger and beer joint filled with warm, friendly people. The first Earls restaurant opened in Edmonton, Alberta in 1982, and it quickly took off — Earls has never looked back, opening locations across Canada and the US. Today, Earls has expanded to 69 locations (and counting!) and we're looking forward to our continued growth across North America.

While much has changed since Bus and Stan opened the first Earls restaurant all those years ago, many things are the same — Earls is still a family-owned business, run by great people who are passionate about serving our guests delicious, globally-inspired food and drinks through exceptional service and an inviting environment. Today, Earls is based in Vancouver, British Columbia and has 67 locations across North America. Earls remains committed to offering guests premium globally-inspired food, with exceptional service in an authentic atmosphere.

The Server

At Earls, our Servers love creating an incredible experience for each person they interact with. This role requires a passion for being around people, and also for going above and beyond to create an incredible experience for our loyal guests.

As a Server, you’ll:

• Be the source of unforgettable dining experiences, creating the Earls Experience for each and every guest
• Optimize your section turnover by achieving flawless operations
• Exercise your entrepreneurial skills and unique service offering by being a business owner and taking responsibility for your service, every shift
• Create an environment of connected, committed teamwork through non-stop communication and the willingness to help others win
• Be the life of the party, keeping fun the focus of every interaction

What you bring to the floor:

• The belief that people are the source of extraordinary experiences, and the desire to deliver exemplary guest experiences, every day
• Ninja-status time and task organization/prioritization skills, a willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching and mentorship
• The ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and communication skills that foster seamless teamwork and smooth-sailing-shifts
• Required certifications to responsibly serve alcohol (specific to your province)
• The ability to legally work in the USA (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit)
