Overview
**This position is contingent upon contract award**
SOSi is seeking a Sr. Test Engineer to join our team to work in Ft. Hood, Texas. In this role, you will provide critical support to Data, Engineering and Software system support for the Department of the Army. This can also be a remote position. The ideal candidate will possess extensive agile-based experiences testing computer systems and architectures in DOD environment(s).
Responsibilities
- Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems.
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
- May analyze or recommend commercially available software.
Qualifications
- A master's degree in a specialized field plus a minimum of 1 year of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in the specialized field plus 7 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 9 years of specialized experience
- In-scope DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CostPoint 7 is desired, but not required.
- Certifications demonstrating experience operating in agile teams such as: Agile Alliance Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), SAFe 5.0 DevOps Practitioner, Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum Developer (PSD), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
Working Conditions
- Candidate will support Agile teams of 6-8 contractors comprised of a Scrum Master and Contributors.
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
