Basic Qualifications :
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position:
GDMS has an immediate opening for a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Space Avionics & Electronics Solutions Systems Engineering team.

This position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge Space Systems and Technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental services. Our teams work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes missions pertaining to space exploration and national security. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to create and manage various GDMS and client technologies. We develop cutting edge spaceborne GPS Receivers, communication radios, as well as many mission payloads that support many exciting missions for our nation. In addition to several restricted customers, we support both NASA and the SDA.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Sr. Systems Engineers design, develop and test GDMS Space Systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety, and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Sr. Systems Engineers work with interdisciplinary design engineers to ensure final product meets customer's expectations. Sr. Systems Engineers are able to work well independently and with minimal direction as well as lead and guide small teams. Additional Responsibilities include formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications for systems to ensure designs meet customer missions.

  • 9/80 flexible schedule (9 hour days with every other Friday off)
  • Support for flexible work arrangements, remote/on-site, depending on program needs

  • Digital Signal Processing
  • Communications Systems Engineering
  • RF engineering
  • System Test and Integration
  • System Design
  • DevOps, Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
  • Effective communication, presenting to internal stakeholders, clear and concise written documentation
  • Python, MATLAB, Mathcad, SysML, FPGA and Xilinx tools
