We are looking for a Senior Supervisor, IT Applications Development - Remote to oversee our development team and collaborate with business units on various data projects. Position requires 25% travel to Reno, Nevada. You will be responsible for ensuring the technical specifications for all development meet the business requirements, as well as mentoring developers in troubleshooting issues and improving their skills. You will also participate in the development activities as needed, using your deep knowledge of PHP, SQL, Javascript, PostgesSQL, SQL Server, Web Services, XML, Linux/Unix and Apache.
Your Impact:
  • Supervise the development team and assign tasks based on project priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to travel 25% Reno, Nevada.
  • Ability to support team on Pacifc Time.
  • Participate on multiple, technically complex, mission-critical, and/or high-profile data projects or initiatives
  • Provide "best practices" and data solutions to meet the data needs across the business
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise
  • Assist as a developer when needed, using PHP, SQL, Javascript, PostgesSQL, SQL Server, Web Services, XML, Linux/Unix and Apache
  • Mentor developers in troubleshooting issues in reports related to data and code
  • Use ad-hoc queries to investigate data issues in relational source systems
  • Assist in formulating, defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact finding
  • Assimilate, integrate, and interface technical knowledge with business/systems requirements
  • Ensure the technical specifications for all development meet the business requirements
  • Complete quality projects on time and budget
  • Prioritize the team’s project and production support including troubleshooting and resolution
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. or B.A. in computer science, information systems, or a related degree
  • Relevant experience with applicable college coursework or equivalent professional training may be substituted
  • 5 - 10 years of experience as a developer (lead developer a plus)
  • 5 - 10 years of working with a SQL Database (PostgesSQL preferred)
  • Experience producing written deliverables for requirements specifications and support documentation
  • Experience collaborating with both business and technology departments to define deliverables and develop solutions that are reusable across the organization

  • Experience with an ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with the SDLC/Waterfall & Agile development methodologies

Pay range of $100,000 to $130,000 + annual bonus: up to 10% of base pay depending on bonus criteria. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
