West Coast Wound & Skin Care, a leading California-based wound and skin care provider, has an outstanding opportunity in our Burbank office headquarters for an experienced Senior Medical Biller to work with our team.

Be part of a team responsible for the completion and accurate billing and collection of claims submitted to Insurance companies.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate coding and billing of medical claims.
• Reviews insurance claim forms for accuracy and completeness.
• Makes necessary claims corrections.
• Follow-up of unpaid claims and timely resubmission of denied claims.
• Appeal and dispute claims with insurance companies.
• Knowledgeable with Medical Insurance guidelines and payment methodologies.
• Prepare billing reports and data for the leadership team as needed.
• Upon request, pulls documentation and organizes for all internal and external audits.
• Reviews and resolves correspondences and overpayment requests.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

• Experience with billing all payers, including Medicare, MCAL, HMOs and Commercial Insurance Payers.
• Minimum of three years medical insurance/healthcare billing and collections.
• Experience in a medical practice or health system, with a deep understanding of medical billing rules and regulations.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks, work with interruptions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
