Arcaea is a biology-first beauty company building a new ingredient toolset for the beauty and personal care industry. We are creating pioneering ingredients, products, and stories accessible uniquely through biology.
The Senior Marketing Manager - B2B Ingredients will be responsible for the marketing of the Arcaea brand as well as its B2B beauty ingredient portfolio. Our goal is to make biology the most desired technology in the products we consume and this person will be critical to driving adoption, making our ingredients heroes in as many trusted products as possible.
This individual will work in close partnership with leaders across the company and report to the Chief Commercial Officer. They will set the strategic roadmap for both bringing the voice of the customer and the market to Arcaea teams as well as how our brand and products are viewed by our customer partners. In conjunction with technical colleagues, they will ensure the product pipeline is addressing robust highest return market opportunities that align with our mission and values. Similarly, they will collaborate with sales and distributors to create and communicate the vision of Arcaea and the stories that make our products so desirable.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong business acumen mixed with creativity, entrepreneurship, and a 'can-do' attitude when faced with challenges and opportunities. This position may be located in the Boston, MA area or a remote location.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Educate and motivate beauty formulators and brand owners to see and leverage the benefits of a biology-first approach to creating personal care ingredients and products.
- Create and execute market research programs to identify and prioritize market and customer needs.
- Create and execute beta-testing programs validate product positioning and performance.
- Develop and execute a marketing plan to raise awareness of the Arcaea brand, placing it firmly as the leader of the revolution to a biology-centric approach to beauty and personal care product development.
- Build out Acraea's social media footprint and execute initiatives that enhance awareness and generate leads. Experience with TikTok a plus.
- Develop and execute a marketing plan to launch and promote B2B ingredients.
- Develop and execute outbound marketing programs to generate B2B leads and manage CRM and other initiatives to track marketing program performance.
- Manage third party marketing vendors including advertising agency, CRM consultants, and web design/administrators.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with B2B trade media.
- Create stories around the Arcaea brand and its products that resonate with consumers and drive demand.
- Develop sales presentations and collateral that promotes Arcaea and our products.
- Develop distributor training materials.
- Develop and execute product and formula sampling programs that showcase Arcaea's ingredients.
- Develop and execute brand and product activation events.
- Manage Arcaea's B2B trade show initiatives
WHAT WE SEEK:
- 8-15 years' experience selling and/or marketing ingredients in the personal care industry.
- Deep understanding and demonstrated success in B2B sales and marketing processes.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, consumer digestible language.
- Experience in launching new products.
- Experience in tracking the performance and ROI of marketing initiatives.
- Experience with using CRM to manage sales and marketing programs.
- Proficiency in social media marketing.
- Track record of existing relationships in the industry.
- Knowledge of current ESG best practices in the chemical and beauty industries.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
- Technical background a plus.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000. The range is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
